People in Need participated in the interactive workshop that explored approaches and tactics to increase civil society resilience and the ability to mitigate risks in their daily work. Strategies considered for the session included risk mitigation planning from an organizational perspective, organizational approaches to holistic security and well-being, mitigating the criminalization of civil society, building resilient networks and collective protection practices.
During the Central America Donors Forum held in Antigua, Guatemala from October 7 to 10, participants were able to obtain tools on organizational strategies to improve their resilience and will be able to learn from their peers and experts, as well as sharing their own successes and challenges. They also improved their understanding of the currently available resources and ecosystem supporting the protection of human rights defenders and civil society organizations at risk.
